IoR to hold webinar for women in RACHP
New network and webinar to be launched to help promote women in the RACHP industry
The Institute of Refrigeration (IoR) is launching a new network to support and advance women working in the Refrigeration, Air Conditioning and Heat Pump (RACHP) industry.
The IoR will be hosting a webinar on June 23 this year, which is also by no coincidence, National Women in Engineering Day.
The webinar will be opened and overseen by IoR president Steve Gill. IoR member Catarina Marque will hold a talk based on her research with IoR and IIR (International Institute of Refrigeration) member Ina Colombo, as part of a workshop about women working in the cooling industry.
The talk will focus upon the global demand for professional RACHP engineers and the global shortage of these engineers and how this and other opportunities can be used to help promote women working in this industry.
An IoR membership is not required and anyone, male or female, working within the RACHP industry, including sales, marketing and administration, can sign up to become a part of the new network, which has attracted the support of the ACR Journal.
The same applies to those who want to attend the June webinar. If you are interested in helping to promote women’s opportunities in the RACHP industry, you are welcome to attend the event. Simply sign up here.
