Clubbers in Manchester worried about lack of Air Conditioning in super club
The Warehouse Project nightclub in Manchester is under pressure from clubbers to rethink it’s ventilation system after customers took to social media last week over sweltering conditions inside the club.
While drug use can never be 100% ruled out, it seems casualties from drug use are rising and the humid and hot temperatures are making things worse. For example a weekend ago a 32 year old woman was taken ill and remains in hospital.
Isabelle Salter, from Liverpool, a music blogger was at the opening night when 8 people collapsed from heat exhaustion, including Nick Bonnie, 30 who died. She said: “There is absolutely no air conditioning inside the venue and it gets dangerously hot”.
Trafford local Councillor, David Acton is concerned, especially over the death – and has called for the license to be reviewed. “We did express concerns prior to the opening” he said.
