Air conditioning manufacturer buys two companies
Wozair Ltd buys out Jet Environmental for an undisclosed amount
Gillingham air conditioning manufacturer, Wozair Ltd, has announced the acquisition of two rival cooling companies: Jet Environmental Systems and sister firm Jet AHU Ltd.
Wozair Ltd has chosen not to reveal how much it paid to acquire the two successful air conditioning and temperature control manufacturers.
Jet Environmental Systems was founded in 1981 and offers cooling and heating solutions for commercial and industrial premises. Its sister firm, Jet AHU Ltd, provides and installs air handling units.
Wozair Ltd is a major international manufacturer of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning units and supplies. It operates across the globe, including throughout Europe, the USA, Dubai and Australia, but its headquarters are based in the UK.
Last year, Wozair recorded a turnover of £39 million.
Jason Hibbs, the managing director at Jet Environmental, penned a letter to staff describing the acquisition by Wozair as a “positive’ move and a “major milestone in the development of the Jet businesses”, which will help the firm expand its business geographically.
According to Mr Hibbs, the senior management setup at Jet Environmental and Jet AHU Ltd will not be altered by the Wozair takeover, but insisted that the whole Jet team should look ahead to the “next phase in our company’s history” and that they are a vital part of the company’s HVAC success.
